Note:
(1) The candidate must have passed at least two subjects out of the list of the teaching subjects (Please see Appendix 2). These two subjects should be available as teaching subjects in the institute / college in which the candidate seeks to take admission.
(2) The candidate who has studied either Civics (Political Science) or History or Geography or Economics will be eligible to take Social Science as one of the teaching subject;
(3) The second teaching subject can be chosen either from the main subjects or subsidiary subjects passed by the candidate at the graduation level or at 12th level.
(4) The B.Com students shall not be given Commerce/ BusinessStudies/Accountancy/Economics as teaching subjects as these subjects are not taught at the elementary and secondary level in schools.
(b) Candidates having passed Bachelor’s degree in Basic Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university and having studied any one of the following subjects:

(c) Graduate candidates must have 50% marks in the teaching subjects chosen for the school teaching methodology.Graduate and P.G. degree/Diploma Food Technology/ CA/CS/Fashion Technology as are not taught at school level so are not eligible for B.Ed.
(d) For B.A.(H) / B.Sc.(H) students 50% marks in aggregate are required in their main exam (excluding the qualifying subject) and 45% in the subsidiary are mandatory.
Note:
(i) The candidate must have passed at least two subjects out of the list of the teaching subjects (Please see Appendix-2). These two subjects should be available as teaching subjects in the institute/college in which the candidates seeks to take admission
(ii) The candidate who has passed a paper either in Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Botany/Zoology/Life Science will be eligible to take Integrated Science as one of the teaching subjects.
(iii) The candidates having done B.Tech, M.Tech., B.Lib. M.Lib., B.A. (Vocational), BJMC/MJMC/B.Pharma./BCA/ MCA/BBA/ MBA/PGDBM/BPT/MPT/ BHMCT/MBBS/BHMS/B.Arch./LLB/LLM and any other technical degree which does not come under Conventional School System* are not eligible for the B.Ed. programme. * Conventional School System with reference to 122 _ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) clause (iii) above refers to the subjects which are taught at the elementary, secondary and senior secondary stage in schools. The candidates whose subjects do not come under the purview of the conventional subjects’ scheme such as Electronics/Instrumentation/Bio-informatics/ Business Economics/Radiology/Nursing/Tourism/ Advertising etc. are not eligible to apply for the B.Ed. Programme. If a candidate having any of these degrees applies for Common Entrance Test for B.Ed programme, he/ she will not be allowed to appear in the test and if by default, he/she appears in the test, the admission will not be granted to such a candidate.(iv) For Post Graduate candidates having done post graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university and having studied any one of the following:

Note:
(i) The candidate will be allotted one of the teaching subjects from the subjects listed above, provided the same is being offered by the institute / college where the candidate seeks to take admission. For list of the teaching subjects being offered by the institute/college for post–graduates please see Appendix 2.
(ii) The candidate who has passed a paper either in Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Science will be eligible to take Biology as one of the teaching subjects.
(iii) The second teaching subject can be chosen either from the main subjects or subsidiary subjects passed by the candidate at post graduation or graduation level.
Notes: 1. Compartment/Supplementary Cases:
(a) Compartment/Supplementary cases at any stage who have appeared for examination(s) and the result of the same is/are not declared by the time of counseling/admission, such candidates will not be considered for admission for the academic session 2012-13. e.g. Compartment may be in 1st yr/2nd yr/3rd yr or Ist semester/2nd semester or any other semesters of the qualifying degree examination e.g. in case of LLB programme, there should be no compartment in 12th class.
(b) In case the result of the Compartment/Supplementary examination(s) is/are declared by the time of admission/counseling and the candidate fulfills the eligibility conditions as mentioned above, then such candidates would be eligible for the admission for the academic session 2012-13.
2. The Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided:
(a) That they are able to produce the proof of having acquired minimum prescribed qualifications at the time of counseling/admission.

(b) If the 12th class/final year/final semester (as the case may be) result of qualifying degree/certificate examination is not declared by the concerned Board/University till the date of counselling/ admission, his/her admission in that case will be provisional subject to the following conditions.
(i) Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.10/- in the prescribed Performa (please see Appendix 3). Further, in case the candidate is minor i.e. below 18 years of age; in that case, the affidavit shall be signed by his/her parent/guardian. Candidates/parents/ guardians may further note that submission of false affidavit is a punishable offence;
(ii) The candidate will have to submit the final result of qualifying degree proving his/ her eligibility on or before 31st October 2012 (Wednesday) to their Concerned Dean/Principal/Director of their respective School/College/Institute where the admission has been granted. The Concerned Dean/Principal/Director must submit the details of the results of these provisionally admitted students within 07 days,i.e., 7th November 2012 to the Joint Registrar (Academic), Academic Reception Counter, Administrative Block, GGS Indraprastha University, Sec 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 duly signed by the authority;
(iii) In case the candidate fails to submit his/her final result of qualifying degree in the manner as prescribed under (ii) above to prove his/her eligibility on or before 31st October 2012, whatsoever the reason may be, his/her admission will be treated as null and void (cancelled) and the entire fee will be forfeited and under no any circumstances he/she will be allowed to appear in the End Term Exam. No extension beyond 31st October 2012 shall be allowed by the university in any case. The Dean of the Schools/Director/Principal will be responsible to ensure that the eligibility of all students are checked by them to ensure correctness of admissions specially incase of provisional students. The provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled if the candidate fails to submit result in time i.e. 31st October 2012.
Note: Those candidates who are seeking provisional admission due to non declaration of their final year/final semester/12th class (please see Appendix 3) will however have to provide proof of having passed all papers in all the previous years/semesters of qualifying degree examination (whichever relevant).
(c) It is further clarified that provisional admission will be considered only in such cases where the result of Final year/semester of the qualifying degree has not been declared by the concerned Board/University in its totality. In case the result has been declared by the concerned Board/University but it has not been declared in a specific case, for any reason, such cases will NOT be considered under provisional admission category.
(d) Provisionally admitted candidates will have a suffix (Ñ) to the enrollment number printed on their admission slip. Provisionally admitted candidates are advised to check it on receipt of Admission Slip in addition to the other details.
3. Aggregate of 50% marks in the 12th class for the purpose of eligibility will be taken as the aggregate of best four subjects including one language and compulsory subject(s). These compulsory subjects will vary for various programme. The details of compulsory subject(s) whatever applicable will be notified on university website before start of the counseling.
4. There will be no rounding-off of the percentage of marks of qualifying examination while Deciding the basic eligibility of any candidate for admission for e.g. if a candidate obtained 49.9% marks in his/her qualifying examination, then it will not be rounded-off to 50%.Therefore, the candidate is not eligible for that programme where minimum requirement of marks is 50%. In case candidate for any reason fills the minimum% wrongly in verification from, he/she shall be exclusive responsible.

Age Relaxation
The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer of the concerned programme if he/she is satisfied with the merit of the case. Candidates exceeding the upper age limit upto five years may provisionally apply/ appear in the Common Entrance Test. However, they would be required to submit to the satisfaction of the Admission Officer an explanation regarding the gap period, i.e., the details of the period spent by him/her after passing the qualifying examination to justify the relaxation. Such explanation should be in the form of an application to the concerned Admission Officer along with supporting documents (if any).
Relaxation in the Requirement of Marks for Reserved Category Candidates.
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel / Physically Handicapped will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement, irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not.
Note: Relaxation of any kind, as mentioned above and elsewhere in this Admission Brochure, will be granted to only those candidates, who are able to produce necessary relevant supporting documents as per the Admission Brochure before the Admission Officer present at the Venue of the Counseling /Admission. Therefore, for seeking these relaxation/s, necessary documents must be obtained in advance by all candidates From the Competent Authority as prescribed.

Note 1:
Every Common Entrance Test will be of 2½ hours duration. Medium of all Common Entrance Tests will be English; and, the Common Entrance Tests for the programmes mentioned in this Admission Brochure except MCA/MCA (SE) will be held in Delhi only.

The choices indicated by the candidates in respect to the Centres of Entrance Examination shall only be considered as their preferred choices. The actual Centre Code will be allotted by the University and the same shall be considered as final. Neither any change in the preferences already indicated by the candidate shall be allowed by the University nor will any correspondence in this regard be entertained under any circumstances. The University may drop any of the above mentioned centres if sufficient numbers of candidates are not available or for any other reason deemed appropriate to drop the centre.
In case University decides to drop both the preferences of centres given by the candidate then, in such circumstances, ‘Delhi’ centre will be allotted.
Note 2:
(i) A Separate Application Form has to be filled-in for each programme (s) having distinct CET Code.
(ii) No separate intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding declaration of results and commencement of counselling/admission. Result will be declared on University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). Detailed schedule of first counselling/admissions will be notified prior to commencement of respective counselling, on the University’s Website (www.ipu.ac.in). Tentative dates of commencement of first and second counselling, are given in Chapter 10. The dates for counselling as given in Chapter 10 may be deferred if the sanctioned intake for the respective programme is not received by the University in time.
(iii) The University will declare and display the ranks of only those candidates who are declared as qualified in the CET- 2012. The candidates will be called for counselling/admission depending upon the number of seats available in each programme. The admissions will be made only out of these qualified candidates strictly in order of inter-semerit. The rank of candidates who do not qualify in CET-2012 will not be declared.
SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORM
1. Detailed Guidelines for filling up of the Application Form are given in Appendix : 5.A specimen copy of CET Application Form is given at Appendix : 6
2. The applicants are advised to retain a photocopy of the duly filled-in Application Form before the same is submitted to the University.
3. Online Submission of Application Form For the convenience to the applicants as well as their parents/guardians, the University is also providing the facility of On-Line Submission of Application Form for CET-2012. The application form along with the Common Entrance Test Fee of Rs.1000/- and Rs.100/- as postage and handling can be submitted through the Internet Link(to be notified on the University Website http://www.ipu.ac.in, 25th January 2012 onwards. The last date for submitting the application form through Online will be 16th April, 2012 (same as that for offline application). The Admit Cards will, however, be sent only by registered post.
4. Submission by Hand/Post The Application Form complete in all respects in the sealed printed envelope given along with Admission Brochure, should be submitted by hand t the University counter or it may be sent by registered/Speed Post to the Controller of examinations, Administrative Block, GuruGobind Singh Indraprastha University’s 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075 latest by 16th April, 2012 by 5 p.m.After the last date is over, application form sent through Registered/Speed Post or by any other means will not be accepted, irrespective of the fact when the form was despatched/posted.Therefore, candidates are advised to submit their applications at the earliest, instead of waiting for the last date.
5. One application form is valid only for One CETCode. For applying in more than One CETCode, the applicant should purchase separate Admission Brochure and apply separately.
6. Display of Information on the University’s Website regarding receipt of Application Forms for all Common Entrance Tests – 2012 :( i) On 24th April, 2012 at 5.00 p.m. the details of application forms received by the Office of the Controller of Examinationsupto the last date i.e.16th April, 2012 will be displayed on the University Website(www.ipu.ac.in). The candidates are advised to check their status with the help of Application Form number indicated on the Application Form.
(ii) In case any candidate, who has submitted the application form either by post or in person, does not find his/her application form number on the University’s Website, then he/she is advised to contact the Office of Controller of Examinations, GuruGobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, immediately (but not later than30th April, 2012) along with the relevant particulars (photocopy of the duly filled inCET Application Form and proof of its delivery to the University). In case of any query, candidate may contact on 011-25302287.
7. No document (copies of certificates, mark-sheets etc.) is required to be attached with the Application Form.
8. Write the complete address by giving your name and PIN CODE carefully and legibly. Please note that this address will be used by the University for All the Correspondence in future. Therefore, it should be very clearly written with black ball point pen only. The address should be properly filled up in the prescribed boxes and should not overflow. The University will not be responsible for any loss in transit or for incorrect address given by the applicant in the CET Application Form. No request for change of address will be entertained till the admission is finalized.
CET ADMIT CARD
1. The Admit Card allotting the Roll Number and Examination Centre for the Common Entrance
Tests will be dispatched by the University to the candidates by Registered/Speed Post. The
University will not be responsible for the delay, non delivery due to incorrect address, loss or damage of the Admit Card during the transit after the same is dispatched by the University.
2. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall without the ‘CET Admit Card 2012.
3. Candidate must preserve the CET Admit Card till the admission procedure is over as it has to be handed over to the Admission Officer at the time of counselling/admission. Request for issue of duplicate Admit Card will not be entertained after the Common Entrance Test (under any circumstances).
4. In case of non receipt of Admit Card, the candidate may download e-admit card from the University Website (www.ipu.ac.in). Such candidates are advised to paste a photograph (Same as on the Application Form duly attested by a Gazzeted Officer/Head of the Institute last Attended) on the admit card. The candidate should make two copies of the e-admit card. One copy to be retained by the candidate and one copy to be submitted at the examination centre. Such candidates are advised to report to the concerned examination centre along with any identity proof, two hours before the commencement of examination. The University observer, Centre Superintendent will attest thee-admit card on the basis of the records provided by the University.
5. No claim of having filled up the Application Form and non-receipt of admit card will be admissible after the test.
6. Impersonation is a punishable offence. No candidate will be permitted to appear in CETwithout the Admit Card. The admit card should be presented to the invigilator(s) for verification. The candidate’s identity will be verified in respect of his/her details on the admit card/centre verification record. If the identity is doubtful, the candidate may not be allowed to appear in the examination. The authorities may permit the candidates to appear for the examination after completing the necessary formalities (visible mark of identification) at their discretion. No extra time will be allowed for these formalities tobe completed.

Delhi University B.Ed Entrance Examination 2012

Bachelor in teaching will enable the candidate to define new methods in teaching. Delhi University conducts B.Ed entrance exam so as to admit students for B Ed in various colleges recognized to Delhi University. The exam is expected to be conducted every year by Delhi University. The notification for the examination is usually given during the months of March/April and the exams are held in May/June.
Structure of D U B.Ed Exam
The candidates have to answer the questions based on reasoning skills, language skills as well as teaching aptitude skills. Candidates those who score 65 percent or more in the written examination will be called for the interview.
Section I includes the objective paper with the following sections,
  • Bilingual Language Comprehension (30 marks with 40 minutes)
  • Mathematical Thinking & Reasoning (30 marks with 40 minutes)
  • Subject Knowledge (40 marks with 50 minutes)
Section II is a paragraph writing part, Written Expression (10 marks with 20 minutes)
The Written Entrance Test is divided into two sections. All sections are compulsory. Candidates short-listed for the Written Entrance Test will be called for Interview. Parameters for the Interview are Subject knowledge, oral communication ability, understanding of children and social issues, potential for critical thinking, general awareness and reading interests.

Eligibility Criteria for D U B.Ed Exam
Candidates those who wish to join the D U B Ed course should satisfy any one of the following criteria. The Candidate must be a graduate holder from any recognized university with not less than 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern. A minimum of 55% aggregate marks is needed for 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern.
How to Apply for D U B.Ed Exam?
Candidate can obtain the application forms from the Central Institute of Education or from the selected branches of State Bank of India. One can also obtain the application form through post by mentioning the name of the course along with a demand draft of Rs 425/- in favour of the registrar of Delhi University. Eligibility Criteria
Only in service teachers with two years experience from any recognized schools located in Haryana are eligible to apply for this test. Candidates should also possess any of the degrees given below from a recognized University or Institute.

Cut off marks will be specified for the qualifying examination to become eligible for the test. This cut off marks will be different for general category and reserved category, which are given below

How to Apply?
Applicants should obtain application forms from the University sale counter after paying the required application fee. Then it should be sent to The Director, MDU, Haryana after filling completely. They can also download the form from the website www.mdudde.net. In this case application fee can be paid through DD taken from any nationalized bank. This DD should be send along with the filled application form to the concerned authority.
Applicants should pay an additional fee of Rs.50 along with the application fee on receiving the application forms through post.

IGNOU B.ed Courses 2012- IGNOU B.ed Admission Procedure Details

The B.Ed Programme offered by IGNOU is an innovative programme utilizing self-instructional materials and information and communication technologies (ICTs) and personal contact sessions. The programme is a judicious mix of theoretical and practical courses to develop in practicing teacher’s appropriate knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (for graduates)  
Bachelor’s degree or any other qualification recognised equivalent there to from a recognised university with a minimum of : 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or 11+2+2 pattern, or with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern and 50% marks in aggregate at the bachelor’s degree level in each of the two subjects.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (for post-graduates)
(a)   Master’s degree or any other qualification recognised equivalent thereto from a recognised university, in any of the subject options indicated in List I or List II given (see page 5) with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate and Having studied at least one subject at the bachelor’s degree level other than the one in the post-graduation and also indicated in List-I. In this subject also, the candidate must have secure at least 50% marks in aggregate in that subject. The Entrance Test will be taken in this subject along with the subject of the Masters degree.

(b) Masters degree or any other qualification recognised equivalent thereto from a recognised university in any subject with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate and
Having studied at least two subjects at the bachelor’s degree level, from the ones indicated in List I, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in each of these two subjects, in which the candidate will take the Entrance Test.
METHOD OF SELECTION
About the Entrance Test All candidates are required to appear in the Entrance Test. It consists of two parts and can be taken in either English or Hindi.
Part A comprises of the two subjects chosen by the candidate for the Entrance Test. This part will assess, up to graduation level, the content knowledge and analytical abilities in the concerned subject(s).
Part B of the test is common for all candidates. It consists of the following two sections: Reasoning and General Awareness This section would include areas to assess abilities such as reasoning (mathematical, inductive & deductive), identifying and understanding the relationship among various elements, decision making, data analysis, interpretation etc. This section will also assess the awareness and knowledge of the candidate in the fields of education, national and international affairs, etc. Language Comprehension
This section aims at assessing the candidates’ language comprehension skills, either in English or in Hindi, as per their choice. 9

There will be an Internal Sectional cut-off at 16 marks ( i.e., 40%) for each of the Sections A (i) and A (ii). The total duration of the Entrance Test is 3 hours. Candidates from each of the Streams given in Table-II [Sciences (A), Languages (B), Social Sciences-C (I) & (II), Arts & Music (D), Education (E), and Other Languages (F) ] will compete among themselves for the seats allocated in that stream.
Procedure for Selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test depending on their rank in the merit list of their respective stream. A list of candidates selected will be prepared strictly in order of merit, based on their performance in the Entrance Test and their preference of institutions. In case of a tie, the candidate older in age shall rank higher. The list will be prepared for the respective institutions separately, strictly according to merit.
The selected candidates have to complete the admission related formalities within the stipulated period of time. Failure to do this, the offer will be withdrawn and the seat will be allotted to candidates next in the merit list. Their selection will stand automatically cancelled without any further notice.
Once allocated, no request for change of institution shall be considered. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list, but whose results of the qualifying examination have not been declared*, will be permitted to provisionally attend classes, but will be entitled to admission only if they obtain the requisite percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (as specified under the eligibility conditions), not later than a date as specified by the university. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the provisional enrolment. Any improvement in the percentage of marks obtained due to revaluation, will not give them any right to admission later on. Such candidates will have to compete again, if they seek admission in future, since the merit list pertains to the current year of admission only. *Note: Such candidates are required to provide a copy of their Admit Card (with date) as evidence of having taken their qualifying examination, attested by a competent authority. Instructions regarding Admission
1. The candidates selected for admission to the B.Ed. Programme, are required to complete the admission related formalities within the stipulated period of time including payment of the requisite fee (as notified by the concerned institution) at the time of admission.
2. Admission to B. Ed. will be considered complete subject to the following: a. Payment of fee at the concerned institute within the prescribed time-limit b. Submission of all requisite original certificates* and documents along with attested photocopies as follows:
i) High School/Secondary School Certificate for verification of date of birth. ii) A detailed Statement of Marks in Graduation Parts – I, II, III and in case of Post-graduates also the Master’s Degree Statement of Marks. iii) Provisional certificate or degree of the qualifying examination. iv) Relevant certificates/documents from a competent authority, establishing the candidate’s claim for reservation, for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
v) Character Certificate from the institution last attended.
vi) Candidates awaiting results must submit their admit card as proof of having taken the qualifying examination, attested by a competent authority.
vii) In the case of candidates in service, a No Objection Certificate from the employer.

LATEST NEWS: CTET 2012 EXAM POSTPONED

On the advise of the Election Commission of India, the CBSE has further postponed the CTET Jan 2012 examination at Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, besides in the states of Manipur, Punjab and Uttrakhand where the examination has already been postponed on account of General Election for Legislative Assemblies in these states.

Under these circumstances, the CTET January 2012 in the above states is postponed to May 5, 2012 (Saturday).

The candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Cards to appear for the postponed examination on May 5, 2012.

In the remaining states the CTET-Jan 2012 examination will be held as per the Schedule on January 29, 2012 (Sunday).

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the CTET to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

RASHTRIYA MADHYAMIK SHIKSHA ABHIYAN, ANDHRA PRADESH, HYDERABAD invites online applications through the prescribed APPLICATION to be made available on website http://apms.cgg.gov.in from 29-02-2012 to 16-03-2012 for recruitment of AP Model Schools Teachers 7100 posts i.e. Principals (355), Post Graduate Teachers (4615) and Trained Graduate Teachers (2130) -2012 for Model Schools in the State through State Selection Committee.

Educational Qualification : Post–wise qualifications are given in the Information Bulletin.
Age Limit : should be between 18 years to 38 years on 01 july 2012. in case of BC/SC/ST, the maximum age limit is 44 years and in case of Physically Challenged 49 year.
 The applicants have to pay a fee of Rs.250/- towards application processing for the recruitment test for each post through APONLINE or eseva between 28-02-2012 to 15-03-2012. The last date for payment of fee is 15.03.2012 and the last date for submission of application online is 16.03.2012.
How to Apply : Eligible applicants are required to apply ONLINE only through Andhra Pradesh Model School Teacher posts website (http://apms.cgg.gov.in). No other means / mode of application will be accepted. The applicants are required to carefully go through the INFORMATION BULLETIN and should satisfy themselves as to their eligibility for this recruitment before payment of Fee and Submission of Application. The information bulletin will be available on website http://apms.cgg.gov.in , www.dseap.gov.in and www.rmsaap.nic.in from the date of notification which can be downloaded free of cost.
The written tests for AP Model School recruitment are scheduled on 10-05-2012 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM for PGTs and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for TGTs. For Principal posts from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on 11.05.2012.
